Alewijnse Marine Systems has signed a contract with Oceanco to supply and install the complete electrical outfitting of a new 85.5m (280ft) motoryacht.

The work includes all navigation equipment, security systems and individual door access, as well as a complete IT system with fixed and wireless networking and all lighting.

Up to 30 Alewijnse technicians will work at Oceanco’s Alblasserdam facility in the Netherlands throughout the build, which is scheduled to complete in 2012.

Special features of the contract include an alarm and monitoring system that can be remote accessed in real-time via VSAT, a secure local IT network for the owner’s deck to prevent external unauthorised access
